White shape at Tutbury Castle

Another photo taken in the Great Hall at Tutbury Castle. At first glance the white shape on the left appears to be a hat, but the lady wasn't wearing one.

Betty Believer says: This picture was taken while the curator was dressed as Mary, Queen of Scots - paranormal activity has been associated with her performing this role in this room before. Maybe this is some sort of apparition that hasn't properly formed yet.

Sarah Skeptic says: The object seems quite solid and appears to be casting a defined shadow, suggesting that it may be very close to the camera. The shape is unusual but it may have been a strap or some other object that came into shot for a moment.
